Lightbringer is the mod made for hollowknight game by 753 and 56 modders. It introduces a new way to play the game, it converts the game from melee to range. It also introduces new charms, some are useful and some are tricky. In my run I am able to locate some of these new charms till now and I am gonna explain their usefulness or uselessness.
Some of these charms are pretty powerful while some are tricky and can land you in trouble so it is best to not use them, they are just for collection.
1st charm : Faulty wallet
Pros : Can convert geo in the soul, if you have large amount of geo (you can earn 1000s of geo from colloseum of fools) then you will never gonna run out of soul and it will be very helpful during boss fights.
Cons : It convert geo into soul, large amount of geo needed. In lightbringer soul regenerate in certain amount of time, you cannot gain it by hitting enemies like the normal gameplay. If you run out of geo, you will be left helpless and poor at the same time.
2 Twin fangs charm
Pros : One of the useful charm , splits lance into two same direction projectiles. Can hit multiple enemies.
Cons: Nah , not that much useful charm, the damage will be divided and only one lance can hit one enemy , that means you have to swing extra to do the same damage.
3 Fragile nightmare charm
Pros: Lance damage increased ,the more the soul the more the damage, up to 10+ damage , Increase soul regeneration
Cons : You will not have soul for spells and healing. once souls depleted your lance will do normal damage. In simple words , you cannot use souls anymore.
4 Eye of the storm charm
Pros : Increases the power of spells , works like shaman stone + spell twister. increase soul regeneration, need very little amount of soul.
Cons : It replaces lance attack with spells , vengeful spirits. you will not be able to attack fast as you have to wait for soul to regenerate atleast a bit. You will be able to swin nail only up and down. Cost 4 notches.
5 Time fracture charm
Pros : It increases game speed . Getting damage will bring it back to normal speed.
Cons : Just throw this charm in garbage , it is of no use. Everytime you swing your nail upwards , it will increase speed of game. It can become insanely fast. Jumping will become tricky.
6 Silent Divide charm
Pros : Very useful charm , you can fire lances in both direction , now you have not turn to enemies to attack, very safe and helpful charm.
Cons : Take 3 notches. Not that bad.
7 Burning Pride charm
Pros: Increase the range of nail , increase damage, substitute for mark of pride.
Cons : Only increase damage of nail but not lance's. You can swing nail only upwards or downwards.
8 Rising light charm
Pros : Very useful charm , Fire 5 lance upwards , deals more damage. You don't have to jump and attack instead of that just shoot barrage of lance on enemies.
